This Privacy Policy explains how TechShield Technologies (“TechShield”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you visit proshieldvault.com or use ProShield, including its personal and business workspaces (together, the “Services”).
Vault content is encrypted under user-controlled credentials. TechShield does not operate a service designed to receive or read your decrypted vault content. Features you choose—such as Google sign-in, Drive backup, business collaboration, breach checks, exports, or sharing—may send limited information to the relevant provider or recipient.
1. Scope and roles
This policy applies to the ProShield marketing website, web application, and supported mobile applications. It does not replace the privacy terms of Google, app stores, device platforms, websites you visit, or recipients with whom you share information.
For a business workspace, the organization or workspace owner may decide why records are added and who receives access. That organization may have separate privacy obligations and may act as the controller of its business information. TechShield provides the ProShield software but does not control how an organization lawfully uses its records.
2. Information involved
Information you place in ProShield
You may choose to store credentials, passwords, financial and card details, government-identification information, documents, travel records, images, secure notes, invoices, business information, attachments, contacts, and custom fields. ProShield accesses a file, image, camera scan, or shared item only when you select it or send it to the app.
Security and configuration information
The app stores information needed to operate your vault, such as encrypted keys, vault configuration, reminder preferences, and details of a connected Google account. Supported devices use platform-protected storage where available. Biometric matching is performed by your operating system; ProShield does not receive or store your fingerprint or face template.
Website and support information
Our hosting infrastructure may process basic request information, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamps, and security events, to deliver and protect the website. If you contact us, we receive the contact details and message you provide. Do not send master passwords, Emergency Kit information, or unencrypted vault content to support.
3. How information is used
Information is processed as needed to provide features you request, secure and maintain the Services, respond to support messages, comply with law, and protect users and our rights. Where applicable, processing may rely on performance of our agreement with you, your consent or request, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as service security and fraud prevention.
ProShield does not include advertising, behavioral-advertising, or cross-app tracking SDKs. TechShield does not sell personal or sensitive information.
4. Optional services and device features
Google sign-in, Drive backup, and business workspaces
If you connect Google Drive, ProShield uses Google OAuth and the permissions you approve to back up and restore encrypted vault data in your Google account. Your master password is not uploaded. For business workspaces, approved members’ Google identities and email addresses may be used to manage membership and Drive permissions. Selected business records are encrypted for authorized workspace members and stored in the configured Google Drive folder or Shared Drive. Authorized members may decrypt records shared with their workspace; TechShield is not intended to have the keys needed to do so.
Password breach checks
If you start a password breach check, ProShield hashes the password on your device and sends only the first five hexadecimal characters of its SHA-1 hash to the Have I Been Pwned Pwned Passwords service using its k-anonymity protocol. The password and complete hash are not transmitted by this feature.
Notifications, camera, files, and sharing
ProShield may schedule local reminders when you grant notification permission. Camera, file, and photo access are used for actions you initiate. When you export, print, copy, or share content, the destination, recipient, operating system, and selected application may process that content under their own terms.
6. International processing
Google, app stores, hosting providers, and other selected services may process information outside your country. Their locations and safeguards are governed by their own terms and applicable law. By choosing an external service, you direct ProShield to interact with that provider as necessary for the requested feature.
7. Retention and deletion
Local vault information remains until you delete records, delete the local ProShield vault, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Trash and history may retain recoverable encrypted records until their cleanup period expires or you remove them.
Deleting a local vault does not automatically delete encrypted backups in Google Drive. You can manage personal backup files through Google Drive and remove a business Drive folder where your permissions allow. Copies previously exported, downloaded, or received by another authorized person cannot be recalled by ProShield.
Support correspondence and limited infrastructure logs may be retained only as reasonably necessary for support, security, legal compliance, and dispute handling. ProShield does not create a separate TechShield-hosted user account solely by connecting your vault to Google.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on applicable law and the context, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a competent data-protection authority.
Many choices are available directly through ProShield, your device, or Google Drive. Requests sent to TechShield can apply only to information we control; we cannot search or decrypt user-controlled vault content. We may need to verify a request and may retain information where law permits or requires it.
9. Security and your responsibilities
ProShield uses encryption and platform security controls intended to protect vault information, but no software, device, transmission, or storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure or continuously available. Keep your master password and Emergency Kit private, maintain recoverable backups, secure your devices, review business membership, and promptly remove access that is no longer required.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly invite children to create a TechShield-operated account or submit personal information through the website. A parent, guardian, school, or organization must not use ProShield for a child’s information unless it has the authority and safeguards required by applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when product features, providers, or legal obligations change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or application where appropriate.
